You erase yourself from the past and present memories of the targets, for them you are essentially invisible. While they are capable of remembering your deeds they are unable to remember your name, apparence, voice and such details. They are still capable of attacking you in anyway a creature can attack an invisible creature. A lesser restoration or stronger spells will allow them to see and remember you again but will not restore any past memories of you.
