Template:Weapon Stats2

A Weighted Shaft is a weight inserted into the shaft of a weapon, typically a scythe or a polearm, that allows the shaft to be used as a viable weapon. While using the base weapon, a Weighted Shaft can be used as a secondary attack, albeit at a -2 penalty and also suffering from two-weapon fighting penalties (or multiweapon fighting penalties).

The cost of a weighted shaft also includes the cost for hollowing out the end of the shaft and fitting the weight. If the shaft is already hollowed out, after being used for another weight, then the cost is lessened by 100gp.

A Weighted Shaft can only have half the enchantment bonuses of the original weapon and does not possess any that the weapon already has. It is always treated as a different weapon in this respect.
