In the World of Greyhawk campaign setting for the Dungeons & Dragons role-playing game, Kalamanthis is a rare psychotropic plant known only to grow on the slopes of the Griffon's Roost in the Cairn Hills, and harvested and sold by the monks of the Twilight Monastery. A potent narcotic, the raw root can be chewed, the leaf can be dried and smoked or snorted, and the sap can be boiled into a concentrated paste and injected.
