—Moltey Mate, Human Picaroon

The animorph are usually non-druidic followers of gods or nature who have the uncanny ability to turn into animals. As they grow in power so does their alternate form, and while their transformation is very limited at the start they can become more human-like or even stay transformed indefinitely at some point.

This class is designed to grant the ability to barbarian, fighter and rogues (alongside other non-spellcaster) the ability to turn into animals, and be effective while doing so.

For example, you can advance caster level, initiator level, sneak attack, rages per day, and other abilities. You do not gain new abilities granted by your class (including greater and mighty rage), nor do you learn any new maneuvers known or spells known.

The exception is the Fighter, who gain a single bonus feat (as the class ability) at 2nd and 4th level.

Animal Form (Su): An Animorph possess the Alternate Form ability, allowing her turn into her totem animal. In order to turn into it totem animal, the Animorph's character level must equal the totem animal's CR. She may maintain the transformation for 1 round per character level, then must wait 1 minute per round she stayed transformed before she can transform again.

Totem Animal: A 1st level animorph select if she want to dedicate herself to a single animal or many, once this decision is made it cannot be changed.

  • Animal Devotion: You choose a single animal, such as bear, boar or wolf. You gain access to that creature and any other version of it (such as dire or legendary).
  • Pluralistic Devotion: At the start of the day, select your Wisdom modifier in animals, you gain access to all the selected animals when transforming. You may not select any non-base animal (such as dire or legendary animals).

Hybrid Form (Ex): A 2nd level animorph may at her option be able to stand upright and wield weapons when in her animal form, if she does she lose the disguise bonus to appears as an ordinary animal.

Empowered Transformation (Ex): A 3rd level animorph receive a +4 enhancement bonus to either Strength or Dexterity while transformed, at character level 12th it become a +6 bonus and at character level 19th a +8 bonus. The ability score that receive the bonus is chosen when the form is assumed.
