Duskborn Fighter Substitution Levels[edit]
Race: Duskborn
Duskborns who choose to train in martial weapons often learn the discipline perfected by the Dreadspears, who focus on using the spear and intimidation to bring their opponents to their knees. Many agree that seeing an impaler fight is more like carrying out a torture that culminates in an execution than an actual battle.

Weapon and Armor Proficiency: An impaler is proficient with all simple and martial weapons and with all armor (heavy, medium, and light) and shields (including tower shields). It's also proficient in one exotic spear, spear-like weapon or piercing polearm of its choice.
Impale: At first level, instead of a fighter bonus feat of their choice, impalers gain the Impale feat for free.
Weapon Focus (Spears): At second level, impalers gain the the Weapon Focus feat that applies to all spears, spear-like weapons, and piercing pole weapons. This class ability replaces the second bonus feat a fighter would normally gain. In Pathfinder, a level 5 fighter must choose the weapon group described above for the Weapons Training ability.
Skill Focus (Intimidate): At third level, an impaler gains the Skill Focus (Intimidate) feat for free. This class ability does not replace other abilities.
Lethal Impalement: At fifth level, the impaler learns how to inflict lethal thrusts on opponents. When it manages to hold an enemy with a grapple through the use of the Impale feat, from the following turn, if it manages to maintain the grapple and inflict damage with an opposed check, it can decide to try to pin the enemy for free, and consequently, if it succeeds, the blow becomes a coup de grace on the enemy, which does not provoke opportunity attacks. An enemy that manages to resist this attempt is released from the grapple and takes only the damage already dealt.
Spearmonger: At sixth level, an impaler gains the Spearmonger feat for free, even if it doesn't meet the requirements. This class ability replaces the fighter bonus feat normally gained at this level.
