A headband of mental domination is a powerful magical item that grants the wearer significant dominion over the minds of others. These headbands are often made of gold or platinum, and are heavily decorated. However some are specifically made of plain wood or iron.
The headband has three charges, which may be used to cast the following spells at the cost of 1 charge each:
- charm monster
- dominate animal (1 day only)
- dominate person (1 day only)
The headband regains a single charge at the beginning of each day.
Additionally the headband grants several passive benefits to the wearer. The wearer gains a +1 bonus on the DC of all of her enchantment spells and spell-like abilities. Additionally the wearer gain a +8 bonus on all Charisma-Based check to control charmed creatures, bluff checks, diplomacy checks and intimidate checks.
If a wearer with the Leadership feat wears the headband of mental domination for at least 24 hours, the number of followers under her influence increases. The number steadily increases to tenfold after a week, and a hundredfold after a month. The followers remain as long as the headband is worn for at least 24 hours over the course of a month, otherwise they steadily decrease until only the most loyal (base amount) remains.
Finally the Headband of Domination is under a constant magic aura effect to appear with no magical aura at all.
