For every two caster levels beyond 7th, you gain an additional missile—two at 9th level, three at 11th, four at 13th, and the maximum of five missiles at 15th level or higher. All creatures damaged by a magma missile catch on fire unless it succeeds on a Reflex save.
A shield spell does not protect against magma missile
