As a standard action, the user can spend up to 3 ki points per class level to use his energy to create a 5 foot wide clear energy field around himself for 1 round which grants him a cylindrical shield on all sides that absorbs 10 hit points of magical or physical damage per 3 points of ki spent and lasts until the start of his next turn.
For 9 points of ki per 10 hit points of the shield this ability can be used as an immediate action even when its not the users turn. If used as an immediate action, this ability cannot be used with any other abilities that allow immediate actions. The user cannot make any kind of attacks while within the shield.
