Multiweapon

A multiweapon is a weapon that turn into another weapon.

A strange product of cunning engineers, multiweapons are by their construction able to alter between two weapons. The process is purely mundane, requiring cunning placement of gears and other mechanism, which sadly make the weapon less durable and require intensive maintenance.

Requirements

To craft a multiweapon the crafter must have 8 or more ranks in craft (weaponsmithing) or have 4 ranks or more ranks and be proficient with both weapon used in it crafting.

Multiweapon Weapons

A multiweapon is a mix between two weapons, the only prerequisites between those weapon is that they need to to be within one one handling category with each other (so two two-handed weapon could be combined, a two-handed with a one-handed but not a two-handed and a light weapon). A multiweapon has the least hardness and hit point of both of it component weapon and it hit point is halved afterward. A multiweapon have different special enhancement between both of it transformed state, however they share the same enhancement bonus (which is paid independently).

By example Mark Hunter pay 8000 to make his heavy crossbow/greatsword multiweapon a +2 weapon, he then add the keen enhancement to the greatsword part for 10,000 (difference between a +2 and a +3 weapon) and then add the U-turn to the crossbow for another 10,000 (as you don't count the enhancement granted to the other weapon on the price).

A multiweapon use the statistic of one of it component weapon or the other, switching between either state either as a swift action. If the wielder has a base attack bonus of at least +6, he may sacrifice it lowest attack granted by base attack bonus to make a transforming strike as an attack action as part of a full-attack. The transforming strike make the weapon behave as if it was placed under the fuse weapon spell but only for the single attack, after which the weapon transform into it other form. It is possible to perform multiple transforming strike in a round, each however take the lowest remaining attack in the full-attack (so two are possible with 4 attacks granted by base attack bonus).

Cost: Price of the masterwork version of each weapons x 1.5, if made of a special material pay the special material cost only once.
