I would really like to get it up to moderate, would removing the weapon focus get it in that realm? All of my rescent builds have used martial adept monk so I now realise I was seeing more power than was really there from the ability. Originally I was planing on the feat just giving you Ki Focus on the ranged weapon but thought that might be too overpowered for a moderate feat. Typically monk bonus feats give you the benefit of ignoring pre-reqs, but it's kind of pointless here. By the time you can pick it up via class bonus feats you already qualify, and you actually still need Weapon Focus for the feat to work.
