Ring of Mental Transformation

Gain a Spellstrained level to gain a spell slot or excess power points.

Putting on this ring you feel a bit disoriented. Your spellcasting feels a bit weakened, but you can do more of it each day.

You must wear the ring for 24 hours to attune to the ring and be conferred its effect. If you take it off and put it back on before the permanent spellstrained or mindstrained is removed, you do not need to re-attune yourself to the ring. Otherwise you must re-attune yourself to the ring.

If you are a spellcaster, a Ring of Mental Transformation afflicts one permanent spellstrained level. This permanent mindstrained level can only be removed by taking the ring off and waiting until you next prepare or refresh spell slots. In return, you gain one extra spell slot of the highest level you can cast.

If you are a manifester, a Ring of Mental Transformation afflicts one permanent mindstrained level. This permanent mindstrained level can only be removed by taking the ring off and waiting until you next regain power points. In return, you gain bonus powerpoints as if your Intelligence Score is 2 higher or as if it is 12, whichever is higher.

If you a multiclass spellcaster/manifester, you must choose the benefit for a spellcaster or the benefit for a manifester. You may not change this benefit in the future, even if you become unattuned to the ring. Depending on whether Psionics–Magic Transparency is in effect, the permanent mindstrained or spellstrained level afflicted will also act as the other type.
