[[Summary::This ring confused confuses aligned magical items, letting you pretend you are an alignment you are not.]] A ring of false alignment is attuned to one aspect on the alignment scale (chaotic, evil, good, lawful, and neutral), and lets you adjust one aspect of your actual alignment to fit the ring (so a Ring of False Law could make a CG character LG, and a NE character LE). A neutral ring allows you to be neutral on either the good-evil or the law-chaos axis at your choice (but not both, unless you have two rings). The alignment shift only applies to interactions with magical items, spells and spell-like abilities which depend on alignment function with your normal alignment.
Intelligent aligned items must make a [[Will]] save DC 10 + 1/2 HD + [[Charisma]], failure indicates they believe your false alignment, and react accordingly.
