Me and Cid agree that this should probably have full BAB instead of moderate. Soulsplitter is great for non-two weapon fighter builds, but an alternative needs to be built for those that are. What happens if you already have deflect arrows needs to be described when you get it and more. For fluff, elans and githzerai seem the most likely to take this class, elans already being self-sufficient and githzerai having their usual fluff. This pretty much sums up what was said over IRC. --Havvy 02:58, 23 April 2012 (UTC) | Me and Cid agree that this should probably have full BAB instead of moderate. + | :For a class whose primary class feature is "has his equipment all the time", having to split your enhancement bonus between weapon and armor seems a bit odd and underwhelming. Is the intent to get them to pick up magic armor or bracers anyway? It is also somewhat unclear whether you have to split the bonus up among your two mind blades if you TWF, or if you can elect to grant them different qualities rather than making them identical. Also, it seems odd that they can't generate a shield, but they can generate everything else. Is this intentional? | ||

+ | :Some clarity here would be nice, but also a better advancement scheme. The only one I have off the top of my head isn't necessarily clean, but I think it should be functional. Instead of +1 every two levels, give 3 gear slots and add +1 to two of them every two levels. So at 2nd you'd have +1/+1/+0, and at 4th you'd have +2/+1/+1, and at 6th +2/+2/+2, and so on. It gives you enough to keep up one weapon and armor, as well as an additional weapon or shield (assuming shields get added in). It's slower in absolute terms than the current scheme, since it ends at +7/+7/+6, but I think it's better distributed than the current setup. - Tarkisflux Talk 04:34, 23 April 2012 (UTC) |

A Soulknife that is actually useful. It seems to be closer to the barbarian than the fighter, and the soulblade gets many key abilities that are missing from the knife, like built-in archery support (no prestige-class nonsense), ability to use weapon materials, and damage reduction bypassing abilities. They get a few damage dealing abilities, but most of them come late, except for Psychic Tear, which requires a good mental ability. Overall, nicely done. |

--Havvy 02:58, 23 April 2012 (UTC)
- For a class whose primary class feature is "has his equipment all the time", having to split your enhancement bonus between weapon and armor seems a bit odd and underwhelming.
- Some clarity here would be nice, but also a better advancement scheme. - Tarkisflux Talk 04:34, 23 April 2012 (UTC)
