Revision as of 06:42, 30 December 2010

I am currently in the process of creating a new type of RPG that I feel like it could be a neat addition to this wiki, since it has some D&D elements to it, but it has a different feel and a new style of gameplay different from D&D 4e.

Some content and ideas will be generated below at some point, but I think that in order for me to make it better, I am offering some people the chance to give suggestions/ ideas/ improvements/ comments/ questions about my new RPG.

I learned that support makes something better, so I hope this will be the same. :)

Ideas for class-building, specializations (feats| Armor, Race, Class, Weapons, Items), Equipment and Items, The Worlds, Adventuring, Monsters (big one), and the like can go here. If you have something you'd want to contribute or if you have suggestions to tweak some ideas, you can. If there isn't a section related to what you want to contribute, please feel free to make a new section by pressing the [+] button next to edit.

Making RPG's is tough, and sometimes it can't be done solo-- so I'm offering you all a chance to help out. Any help is appreciated. I will do my best to inform and educate you to the best of my ability what this RPG is about so that it can give you a clearer picture of what it's about so that you aren't like, "Okay, so? What's this game about?"

What is the Magi Chronicles RPG?

The Magi Chronicles RPG is a Role-playing game (obviously) that is set in the far future [the year 20007]-- a time where magic and technology runs in sync with each other. War and rebellion hangs on the horizon of the intergalactic civilization known throughout the air of the cosmos as the Magi Civilization. Many species of creatures and humanoid beings (including the humans) live in harmony with the power of the Elements that connects the worlds together. With coming threats, nomadic adventurers and military operatives prepare themselves for the ultimate cosmic adventure never before experienced in an RPG.

The main races that live in the civilization and that are available for play currently are:

  • Eagorans: Noble and wise, these flawless avians are as much mentors as they are scholars in an ever-changing world.
  • Magi: An honorable race of spiritual beings, the Magi are the defenders of the civilizations and beyond.
  • Precursors: Spiritual and legendary, they are an ancient race of both passion and pure devotion to the elements and the deities.
  • Florasians: A sect of Magi with a rebellious history—militaristic in nature, but honor-bound and elegant.
  • Humans: A race of heroes and villains. They are made up of charismatic adventurers and diehard explorers willing to push the edge of the modern day tech available to them.
  • Pudgeys: Resourceful cave dwellers, they can also thrive above their dark homelands. They are a legacy passed down from previous generations.
  • Rygoliths: A race of savage and intelligent beasts. A small group has devoted themselves to stopping the oncoming rampage of their former leader.
  • Shadowcon: A proud race of military might—they show no mercy to those who oppose of their own will.
  • Thorndykes: A race whose devotion and pure will to the spirits of the wild and of the divine world have made them independent from civilization.
  • Salomon: Sly and malcontent, an isolated race whose temper rivals that of the Rygoliths. They are cold-blooded killers and elemental tricksters.
  • Snow Elves: Quick and resourceful, Snow elves are crafty and extremely charismatic.
  • Woodland Elves: Creatures of the wild, they roam the forests and stalk the plains with their cunning stealth and unrivaled wisdom.

I feel like adding any more base races would overdo it, so I'll leave it up to homebrew for more races, as well as all the other stuff.

As such, here is a list of the available classes:

  • Argonaut: [Arcane Striker Military] A spellcaster with both arcane talent and military training to focus his attacks on predetermined targets with both skill and thought.
  • Commando: [Melee Leader Military] A supreme commander on the battlefront-- a critical combat asset when it comes to teamwork.
  • Dragoon: [Divine Striker] A skilled divinist who uses the blade to answer for their enemies' sins of the elements.
  • Fighter: [Melee Defender] The tried and true melee combatant, a valiant hero and the champion of preseverance. Most fighters are nomadic.
  • Jedi: [Arcane Leader] Defenders of the civilization, they utilize specific elemental energies to aid others in the fray while blasting foes with invisible twines of kinetic energy.
  • Marine: [Melee Defender Military] Expendible units that serve as the front lines for the chain of command. They utilize skill and combat to take advantage of the battlefront.
  • Ranger: [Melee Striker] Utilizing stealthand unerring accuracy, Rangers are the menace of the dense forests.
  • Sage: [Divine Controller] Powerful and spiritual beings-- utilizing the power of the deities and the elements to create a noble, celestial guardian.
  • Sniper: [Melee Striker Military] Dextrous, clever sharpshooters, they are a force to be reckoned with.
  • Spellcaster: [Arcane Controller] With the elemental lore in their hands, they are the eye of the storm that rains with protection or pure malice.
  • Vanguard: [Melee Striker Military] Operatives that pack a heavy punch to the opposition, they are a critical combat asset when it comes to tactical combat.
  • Warrior: [Melee Defender] A perfected fighter-- a skilled weaponsmith with focus and intellectual might, they are the defenders of their culture or of their people.
