== Trench Creature ==

[[Summary::Trench creatures are aquatic beings from the deepest lightless parts of the ocean.]]  They tend to look alien and terrifying to beings near the surface.  Common traits include pale or transparent skin, bioluminescence, tentacles, needle-like teeth, blank eyes, and very aberrant features.

This is an inherited template which can be applied to any creature with a swim speed or capable of breathing water.

'''Unnerving Appearance {{Ex}}:''' Trench creatures look very freaky and unnerving to other beings.  The trench creature gains an aura of fear out to 30 feet whenever observed.  Creatures get a [[Will]] save, if they fail they are rendered shaken for 1 round/level.  This does not stack with other fear effects.  A successful save renders them immune to that particular unnerving appearance for 24 hours.  The trench creature can exclude any number of creatures as a free action.  The saving throw is either [[Charisma]] or [[Constitution]] based (chosen on creation).  This is a mind-affecting fear effect, and does not function on other trench creatures.
