The cast may attempt to use ''spirit fission'' to separate the target's body and soul. This version allows a [[Will]] save to negate the effect. On a failed save the target is instantly and painlessly killed. This only functions if the target has a soul or life essence which can be separated.

However it main use in its ability to separate two different creatures. The power of spirit fission allow the caster to undo the effect of [[SRD:Fusion|''fusion'']], [[SRD:Magic Jar|''magic jar'']], [[SRD:Mind Switch|''mind switch'']] and any similar effects. If the effect would kill the target, it is instead restored as if the effect never happened. This can be done on extraordinary and supernatural ability as well as spells, and can even end instantaneous effects.

Unlike most necromancy spells, this spell is fully capable of affecting constructs. You cannot hold the charge while using ''spirit fission''.
