A Skulking Cyst is an animate disease, a magical malign tumor that tears itself free of its host as a roiling mass of cancerous tissue. "Mature" Cysts more closely resemble an octopus, with a central fleshy fluid-filled sac dragged by ropy tentacles of intestine and muscle.

True to their name Skulking Cysts tend to rely on cover of darkness, launching surprise attacks from hidden corners. They latch on to the living, draining their life force and spreading their arcane malady.
