A large golden scarab that is worn on the chest, it grant a high level of protection to it wearer. It grant the wearer and any allies within 30 feet of her the effect of the [[Forcefield (3.5e Spell)|''forcefield'']] spell. If a creature move out of range the temporary hit points and protection are immediately removed. The wearer can decide who is an ally and who is not as a free action usable outsider of her turn.

Whenever the temporary hit points of forcefield on the wearer is depleted, the Scarab will make a powerful counter-attack against the creature who last attacked. It fire a ray with a +15 attack bonus, dealing 5d6+5 magical damage if it hit. If the wearer has multiple sources of temporary hit points these are depleted before the forcefield's. 

Finally if the wearer fall below 0 hit points, the scarab will grant the wearer an immediate 200 temporary hit points and heal the user up to 1 point. These hit points last for 5 minutes and upon doing this function the scarab shut down for 24 hours.
