[[Summary::Sometimes undead aren't just rotting corpses that have been animated to follow another: sometimes, corpses partially freeze before becoming undead.]] These undead are often referred to as the "rimebound fallen" and are justly feared for their frigid strengths. These rimebound fallen are most commonly found in the arctic and upon high mountains, where their bodies freeze naturally, though, it is not uncommon to see them in dungeons, where they have been purposefully made.

===Creating a Rimebound Fallen===

Rimebound fallen is an aquired template that can be applied to any [[SRD:Undead Type|undead]] creature whose body has spent 3 or more continuos days exposed to temperatures below freezing without any way of enduring the temperature, referred to here after as the base creature. There may also be other ways to add this template to an [[SRD:Undead Type|undead]] creature, but they are subject to the DM's discretion.
