A creature who fails their save against this spell is cursed to be punished for their altruism.  Whenever they heal another creature by any means (be it spells, maneuvers, or otherwise) they take an amount of damage equal to the amount they healed.  If this is across multiple creatures, they take the total damage healed collectively as damage.  Because of this curse they also cannot heal themselves (they immediately negate the healing with damage) but they can be healed by others.

This is a curse, and cannot be dispelled, but ''[[SRD:Remove Curse|remove curse]]'' and ''[[SRD:Break Enchantment|break enchantment]]'' can remove it.

If cast as 3rd level spell, the duration becomes Permanent.
