When you cast this spell a shimmering bubble of safety expands out to Long range, centered on a point in space where you cast from.  All creatures with CR of 1/2 your caster level or less are subject to protection.  So long as they do not attack (as per any effect which would break ''[[SRD:Sanctuary|sanctuary]]'') they cannot die as long as they are within the area of effect, neither by hp loss nor status effects.  This doesn't actually stop these effects, and creatures brought below 0 hp will fall unconscious, creatures can be poisoned, and so forth.  [Death] effects bring them to -1 hp and stable instead of killing them.  Status effects afflict normally, but at the end of the duration if they are still within its area of effect, the status will be removed when the spell ends and any creatures who would be dead or dying are brought to a minimum of -1 hp and stable.

A creature which attacks forfeits the protection offered by this spell.  This spell does not protect objects.  You may exclude any number of enemies or creatures upon casting, and have a dim and constant awareness of any creatures who would otherwise be dead, dying, or afflicted by a harmful condition while they remain in the area to the point of being able to locate them within the bubble.  The spell does not relieve conditions obtained before the casting of this spell.

Once per casting, you can transmit any harmless spell through the protector of the commons to a single creature and affect them as if you were in range for the spell.  You may do this even if their CR is too high to benefit from the other protections.  You do not need line of effect or line of sight for these purposes.
