Hoverskates also boost the length and height of any jump made with it by up to 20 feet and is also used to slow down fall, making a creature wearing hoverskates immune to  fall damage as long as it able to handle the hoverskates. Hoverskates require [[Energy Cell (3.5e Equipment)|energy cells]] to function, burning one cell per minute of use. Activating hoverskates is a move action.

Each hoverskates  can contain up to 25 [[Energy Cell (3.5e Equipment)|energy cells]]. Expended [[Energy Cell (3.5e Equipment)|energy cells]] can be changed for new ones, a process which requires 5 minutes of work.

It is possible to use two [[Fusion Cell (3.5e Equipment)|fusion cells]] (one in each hoverskates) instead of [[Energy Cell (3.5e Equipment)|energy cells]]. [[Fusion Cell (3.5e Equipment)|Fusion cells]] provide enough energy to last for hundred of years without needing to be changed.
