A ''heavenly voice'' produces a vertical column of divine sound roaring downward. The spell deals 1d4 points of damage per [[SRD:Caster Level|caster level]] (maximum 10d4). Half the damage is sonic damage, but the other half results directly from divine power and is therefore not subject to being reduced by resistance to sonic-based attacks. Creatures that fail their save are also knocked [[SRD:Prone|prone]]. Aerial creatures are also brought down to the bottom of the spell's area on a failed save.
