Your shadow animates. This spell works as [[SRD:Unseen Servant|''unseen servant'']], except as noted here.

Your shadow is sentient, having half your Intelligence score. It may perform simple tasks but it is more useful for scouting and sneaking, as it has a bonus on [[Hide]], [[Move Silently]] and [[Spot]] checks equal to your caster level + your casting score's modifier (+ 4 in shadows or shadowy areas). The shadow may be used to explore areas and may report its findings to the caster when it returns (or the spell effect ends). It may also manipulate small objects so it may steal things (altough these are not retrieved if the spell time expires). 

Casting this spell again before its duration is over, dispels the precedent casting to make another shadow. The previous one may report what it has seen or heard.

The shadow may attack using your attack bonus + your casting score's modifier to make a touch attack that deals 1d6 + 1 per caster level (up to +5). This is untyped damage. The shadow may be employed to obtain flanking.

If it is destroyed you take 10 point of damage, while the shadow comes back.
