You use this spell to reach in the subconscious of a sleeping creature. While the target is sleeping and you are concentrating, you can have a dream conversation with the subject. In this context, the subject reacts as though it were two steps more friendly in attitude. You can alter the target's dreamscape, such as making them appear in a familiar place or a past event that they remember (such as a ball that they attended two weeks ago). The target believe that they are in the chosen place, although they realize that they are in a dream on a successful [[Will]] save. If you attempt to alter the dreamscape to a place they are unfamiliar with, or cause them any discomfort or harm, the spell immediately end.

You can also request of the affected creature (provided you can communicate with it). The request must be brief and reasonable. Even after the spell ends, the creature retains its new attitude toward you, but only with respect to that particular request. The subject is allowed a [[Will]] save, shuttering you out on their subconscious and ending the spell on a successful [[Will]] save, without the request being acknowledged. You can up to one request per caster level this way.   

A creature that fails its saving throw does not remember you or the dream you altered in any meaningful shape. If you are shuttered out of the subject's subconscious, they remember the dream and have a 50% chance of immediately waking up when the spell ends.
