All of the following are class features of the Knight Specter.

'''{{Anchor|Spellcasting}}:''' At  every level except the first, you gain new spells per day and an increase in caster level (and spells known, if applicable) as if you had also gained a level in a arcane spellcasting class to which you belonged before adding the prestige class level. You do not, however, gain any other benefit a character of that class would have gained. If you had more than one arcane spellcasting class before becoming a knight specter, you must decide to which class to add each level for the purpose of determining spells per day, caster level, and spells known.

These spell are automatically added to your spell known or spellbook whenever they are be made available. No expenditure of resource are necessary for adding those spells and they do not count toward your limit of spell known.

If the knight specter's weapon is already ghost touch it instead deal an additional 2d6 damages against incorporeal creatures.

Unlike the spell the duration is permanent, the movement speed of the [[SRD:Phantom Steed|''phantom steed'']] is not capped and it gain 5 bonus hit point per class level. A knight specter may only have a single ghostly steed at any one time, if she summon another the old one disappear. Additionally the Knight Specter gain [[SRD:Mounted Combat (Feat)|Mounted Combat]] as a bonus feat.
 
At 4th level the knight specter's [[SRD:Phantom Steed|''phantom steed'']] gain all benefits of a [[SRD:Paladin|Paladin]]'s [[SRD:Paladin's Mount|Special Mount]] when applicable (keep in mind it is not quite a creature).  Her [[SRD:Phantom Steed|''phantom steed'']] also benefits from her [[#Ghostly Movement|Ghostly Movement]] class feature whenever the knight specter is mounted on it.

At 8th level the knight specter's [[SRD:Phantom Steed|''phantom steed'']] has it speed double and by riding for 10 minutes in a straight line can replicate the effect of [[SRD:Shadow Walk|''shadow walk'']] except using the Ethereal Plane instead of the Shadow Plane. It is not slowed by difficult terrain or any spell or effect as if it had ''[[SRD:Freedom of Movement|freedom of movement]]'', though it is not immune to grapples, paralysis, or other effects which physically encase them in a solid object.  It take any damage from crossing hazardous surfaces as normal.

'''{{Anchor|Quick Counter}} {{Ex}}:''' A 1st level Knight Specter receive [[Quick Counter (3.5e Feat)|Quick Counter]] as a bonus feat even if she do not meet the prerequisites. If she already possess it she may choose another feat she meet the prerequisites for instead.

'''{{Anchor|Warrior Mage}} {{Ex}}:''' Knight Specter can cast even if their hands are full of swords and shields. A knight specter can still employ somatic components with items in her hand. This does not remove the need for somatic components, they still will be unable to cast if bound or not free to move their arms. A knight specter can cast in light armor without incurring arcane spell failure. 

Additionally your caster level increases by +1. This can't increase your caster level beyond your HD. However, even if you can't benefit from the full bonus immediately, if you later gain levels in a non-caster class you may be able to apply the rest of the bonus. If the Knight Specter had at least a level in fighter she count her knight specter levels as fighter level for the purpose of meeting prerequisites and benefiting from feats.

If she is already incorporeal or possess partial incorporeality she instead gain a bonus feat she meet the prerequisite of.

As a swift action she may gain the [[Geist (3.5e Template)|geist]] template, She may return to her normal existence as a swift action and may persist in [[Geist (3.5e Template)|geist]] form for 1 hour per character level per day, the use need not to be consecutive but is always used in 1 hour increment. 

Additionally if she dies she rise may as a [[Geist (3.5e Template)|geist]] with no level adjustment. She cans stay in this state for 1 day per character level after which she dissipate and dies for real, so she often use her time as a geist to engineer her resurrection.
