==Rogue==

The Rogue is an elusive combatant and master of misdirection who is able to actively avoid or disrupt the activities of his enemies while dispensing deadly harm. Rogues represent plucky swashbucklers and hardened criminals who tend to come out on top.

===Making a Rogue for Tome games===

This class was made as an overdue response to the requirement that higher level rogues require a greater ring of blinking and either wands, staves or flasks in order to be optimized and competitive. Ability to deal Sneak Attack damage is hard coded into the class. It is intended to have Sneak Attack work on crit-immune creatures otherwise Sneak Attack is too volatile.

At higher levels rogues either had to Use Magic Device to use spell abilities or rely on DM pity. I have provided some Shadow themed abilities to keep things interesting without outshining primary casters. If in reading the highest level abilities you feel it is too much, just hold your breath until you remember that a Wizard can already do that and more at those levels or earlier, or you pass out.

Playing a Rogue: Rogues are not front line fighters nor controllers of a battle field. Instead they are precision instruments of death and disruption. Infiltrating defenses, performing sabotage, assassination or gathering intelligence.

A level or two of Rogue can give some stealth and evasion to a martial build, but it offers decreased BAB progression which makes it a niche multiclassing dip.

The Rogue’s attack deals extra damage any time her target would be denied a Dexterity bonus to AC (whether the target actually has a Dexterity bonus or not), or when the Rogue flanks her target. This extra damage is 1d6 at 1st level, and it increases by 1d6 every two Rogue levels thereafter. Should the Rogue score a critical hit with a sneak attack, this extra damage is not multiplied.
