This psychic disease is "airborne" but is composed of residual psychic clouds left by the infected in their passing, invisible to the naked eye but appearing as a faint cloudiness hanging in the air.  These clouds can hang around for months if not overridden by the psychic emanations of others, or longer in places of great psychic trauma.  Those passing through the cloud risk infection, with psychic sensitive creatures more vulnerable than most.  Once infected the victim begins to produce their own infectious clouds, building up anywhere they stay for significant amounts of time or places of emotional excess.

1 hour after a failed save the disease manifests.  All Knowledge checks have their results halved, and tasks which take more than 1 minute to complete become subject to distraction, with a 20% chance of becoming distracted halfway during the attempt and failing as a result.  They also take a -4 penalty against Fascination and Dazing.

At the start of each day, they must make a [[Will]] save DC 17 or take 1d4 [[Wisdom]] damage.  If their [[Wisdom]] ever reaches 0, they do not fall into a coma but instead become mindless (even if their [[Intelligence]] is positive), with all the benefits and penalties therein.  The keep their strongest motivations as their base instinct, but otherwise would be content to do nothing more than stare blankly ahead not even thinking of their needs.  In cases of extreme starvation, they will begin to act as uncontrolled [[SRD:Zombie|zombies]] in search of any food or sustenance, but otherwise are not undead.  When a creature is rendered mindless they will no longer heal naturally, but anything which restores ability damage will remove the mindless quality from them and permits them more saving throws.
