Ethereal scutigera are opportunists and ambush predators, jumping out of the walls and floor and grabbing a creature and swallowing them before running away to digest, or to finish the opponent off solo when the swallowed creature attempts to escape.

The ethereal scutigera's stomach is in another dimension, so swallowed creatures only appear as a swirl of color trapped within its length.  Also as a result it can potentially swallow an infinite number of creatures, each held in its own stomach.
