The [[SRD:Deep Crystal|deep crystal's]] psionic empowering effects can be applied to either its melee attacks as a weapon or its magical usage.

The rod also functions much like a [[Ring of the Ram, Variant (3.5e Equipment)|variant ring of the ram]] with 3 charges. The blasts resemble fists instead of goat heads. These charges refresh at the rate of one charge per day.

The weapon portion can be enhanced on its own.
