|benefit= You are able to wield a special wooden sword named ''shinai''. In your hands these sword behave as [[Quickening Katana (3.5e Equipment)|quickening katana]] which deal bludgeoning weapon which you count as having exotic proficiency with, in the hand of any creature without this feat they act as [[SRD:Club|club]]. A ''shinai'' wielded by a character with this feat can be used to deal non-lethal damage without penalty and even deal precision damage non-lethally. If you possess [[SRD:Weapon Finesse|Weapon Finesse]] you may use your [[Dexterity]] instead of your [[Strength]] on damage roll with a ''shinai''. A proper ''shinai'' must be masterwork and can be made from a special wood (such as [[SRD:Darkwood|darkwood]]), but cannot be enhanced as a magic weapon.
