This spell creates bright but harmless sparks and loud noise.  It is actually three spells in one.

The first form of the spell produces is a small fountain of crackling pyrotechnics in a 5 ft square, which lasts for 1 round/level.  It sheds light as a [[SRD:Torch|torch]], and creates a loud noise equal to an ''[[SRD:Alarm|alarm]]'' spell.  Creatures who enter the square must make a [[Fortitude]] save against being [[SRD:Dazzled|dazzled]] for as long as they remain in the area, and a -4 penalty on Listen and Spot checks.

The second form of the spell launches a rocket which explodes instantly into a blast of sparks and light.  All creatures in a 20-ft.-radius spread must make a [[Fortitude]] save against being dazzled and [[SRD:Deafened|deafened]] for 1 round/2 levels (1 round on a successful save).  You can make a ranged touch attack to make a direct hit, dealing 1 fire damage/level (save for half damage).  The explosion is so loud it can be heard up to 1 mile away, and briefly illuminates the light sky as if it were lightning.

The third form of the spell takes 1 round to cast, and is a stronger version of the second form.  You launch one 20 ft radius spread plus an additional spread at caster level 4 and every 4 beyond, but only one rocket per creature.  The multiple explosions last for 1 round, and you can maintain concentration to continue to cast this spell each round.  Regardless of how many explosions a creature is subject to, they only need to make a save once a round.
