If you choose an alignment or type, you are able to see any creatures who share that alignment or type as if you were sighted. If you select magic you see any magic items, spells and lingering magic aura as if you were sighted and using [[SRD:Detect Magic|''detect magic'']] constantly with no need to concentrate and range limited by your line of sight.
